About Us
After receiving $4 million in funding from the state budget, the construction of the first priority housing project for homeless veterans in Marin County will break ground next year.
This funding will allow Homeward Bound of Marin, a not-for-profit organization, commence the building of 24 homes that provide on-site support services for homeless verterans next to the headquarters and a shelter in the Novato Hamilton community.
Since then, Homeward Bound has received several other donations, including $3 million from California Housing and Community Development Department, $2 million from the county, $2 from the Marin Community Foundation, $1 million, and $250,000 from various foundations.
The $4 million in the Homeward Bound project is part of the $12 billion proposed by the legislature to invest in homelessness initiatives over the next two years.
